Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜Yasu no Ossan Onigiri Shokudo

Damn, didn't know that onigiri could be this good and this filling. Those that are coming from 7-11 onigiri will experience true flavour and true onigiri size. These onigiris are humongous and they don't skimp out on fillings either. Three, along with a miso soup or a drink makes for an excellent lunch. Definitely worth taking a detour to visit this spot. The servers are also all so friendly and try their best with serving tourists in English.

Everyone was super friendly. Carefully introduced us on what the wait time was and what to expect when we get in. Food was delicious! I ate 3 onigiri myself, which was a little full. 2 probably would have been perfect, but there was just too many kinds I want to try out.

Had Tuna, and Salmon & Hokki Salad. Huge and very tasty onigiri! Miso soup is good, plus it's free refill! Best thing is that it's super near Hotel Koo's Suzuya. Seems like this place is a disciple of the famous onigiri bongo in Tokyo. Usually there's a long line outside.
