Osaka, Japan｜Grill Bon

A hidden gem nestled between the main streets of shinseikai - known for their beef katsu, it is fried to perfection. I had the beef curry katsu and it comes with soup and rice. Often, beef katsu tends to be tough but Grill Bon managed to churn out the most tender beef even when deep fried. Curry has a kick but it’s not spicy. Kudos to the team, worth a visit!

Ate here with family. All 5 of us thought the food was awesome. It was quite possibly the best meal I’ve had in Japan and that is really saying something. The hamburg, beef curry, beef sando and special seasonal prawn sando were all so good, we were all still raving about it days later. This place should get its Michelin stars.

First learned of this place when passing through Shin-Osaka station we bought sandwiches to enjoy on the trip. They were so good we resolved to visit the "home" shop. I had the 'herekatsu'. It's a beef cutlet battered and fried. The beef was cooked to perfection and was tender enough to cut with chopsticks. I will be going back.
