The best duck confit I ever had! Lovely team, Arigato! We came back for a second experience and it was equally lovely.

A classy place that serves delicious Italian food with outstanding Japanese service. They have an impressive wine list and rich menu of delicacies including appetizers, pasta dishes, and main-dishes thatthey will happily and skillfully pair with your choice of wine. The staff is genuinely kind and personal, and very knowledgeable. Despite the restaurant being hidden from plain site to those walking along the popular Kiyamachi-Sanjo area searching for a place to eat or drink, this restaurant/wine bar is almost always full with loyal repeat customers. Kyotonese have earned a reputation through the grapevine and live up to it by delivering an exceptional experience.

A very refined restaurant with faboulous Italian and Japanese fusion. The menu is quite interesting and there are various options. Wine list is more Italian centric but you have a very nice selection. Overall very good experience and highly recommended, please make sure you make a reservation though since the place is small and gets quite busy.
