Osaka, Japan｜お好み焼 翁

This place is an Okonomiyaki heaven in town! I can't resist coming here twice a week. The small restaurant with its open cooking setup adds to the charm. The Okonomiyaki here is bursting with good flavors, and the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent place for a real deal. Okonomiyaki is good considering i had so many in Osaka over last 20 years. Run by a couple.

Not sure what the past review was about because this place was totally foreigner friendly. They don't speak much English, but they had a helpful English menu and were so kind and accommodating. A local recommended this place to us, and it was sooooo good. No line up on Wed night at 8:30 pm, although I think they were closing up when we were leaving. There are only a few squishy counter seats, and more tables upstairs. But the counter is the best spot -- you can watch the chef and his wife cook on the teppan grill and receive drinks from upstairs through an elevator. Food was INCREDIBLE. We got a mochi, cheese, pork okonomoyaki and some teppan shrimp. Don't miss out on the shochu calpico drink either 🤤 Really sweet owners, authentic experience, and delicious food.
