Very friendly staff. Just across the street from Kujo underground station. They only offer pork based ramen stock. English menu is available. Ramen is super yummy. Price for a bowl is reasonable (700yen).

My friend and I really enjoyed their food. We arrived in Kyoto station quite late for lunch and stayed at the hotel just near this place. The restaurant closes at 2pm for lunch and then opens again at 5. They are on cash-only basis, but the food is reasonably priced. They have English menu so if you're a non-Japanese speaker/reader, it is still okay. They have different kinds of ramen, such as Miso, charsu, hakata, etc. I ordered the Hakata ramen regular size and I think it was enough. They also have set menus, combination of ramen and other dishes. Also they have gyoza, karaage, charsu pork, etc. They provide you with drinking water for free and you get your own pitcher at your table. Both owners are also really nice and polite. Peaceful ambience too. Location is south of the Kyoto station. Probably around 10-minute walk from JR Kyoto but there is a subway super nearby.

Very prompt service. Got the set with chicken, rice and jellied ramen. Also got a beer. Amazing for 1400 yen. I want to come back here :)
