Kyoto, Japan｜Ramen-ya Maago

I came in around 6pm on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet and easy to get a table. I got the tomato ramen which was great! It was probably one of the most tasty dishes I’ve had in Japan. I would absolutely recommend coming here!

Small shop, not a lot of seats but cozy and perfect for two. This is the best ramen I've had in Kyoto, tbh. Ordering is the reliable point and order formula since I didn't see an English menu.

This little unassuming spot has the best ramen I’ve had in Japan. The milk broth ramen is complex and rich. The tomato ramen is so flavorful and reminds me of good comfort food. We also had the fried rice and it was delicious too. It was loaded w finely sliced onions but wasn’t too oniony. The place itself is small but cutely decorated and the staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a menu in English. If you’re in Kyoto give them a try
