Excellent food in a quintissential noodle shop with friendly owners. I came here mainly because they make a sardine based broth. And it was just as rich as any other broth I've had. The noodles were also excellent. The restaurant is quite small and though there wasn't much of a wait when I went there, I can imagine the potential for long waits to eat here. I was here with a self-proclaimed "noodle-enthusiast" who travels around to find excellent noodle shops. Though I am not much of an officionado, my compaion was and frequents this restaurant. The decor and interior isn't much to talk about, but I will mention that the location we were seated was a raised platform tatami space (where we had to remove our shoes and sit cross-legged). While not an issue for everyone, it is something worth considering if there is a wait and the next available table is seating like this and you need to wait longer for seats. Yes, there are regular seats as well (and counter space). I also thought the pricing was quite comparable to other noodle shops I've been to. Certainly not more expensive than any others (I know a review or two mentioned the pricing being high, but I didn't find that to be the case at all).

I dropped by for dinner. Small cozy place. They served unique taste of ramen. Rich but not salty. Ticket was offered from vending machine. I will come back to try other dishes in the menu.

One of ramen shop with nice fish broth. I ordered a rich soup base ramen. The soup is tasty and sliced pork is delicious as well. The noodle just cooked nice. The staff and chef are friendly and nice. As the shop is only available for 6-8 people. Better go there for late lunch for avoiding long queue. We went around 1:45pm, still need to wait for 15mins. After eating ramen, you could visit the famous duck river nearby and have some walk. You can’t have those good ramen at that price in other country. If you want to have a ramen in Kyoto, you could consider this.
