Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜Menya~kiyo~Ogoto branch

We found this ramen place on google maps while walking around the area around 5pm as most places here were closed at this time. We had the Mapare ramen and some karage and we thoroughly enjoyed the food! The flavour of the shoyu based soup was amazing and pairs well with the smooth and chewy noodles. The toppings and karage were great too! Staff were very friendly and patient even with the language barrier. The menu was in Japanese but using the camera function on google translate made ordering easy enough

I entered the store almost as soon as it opened (17:30). I ordered light bamboo ramen and grilled rare pork bowl. The soup was so delicious that I drank it all because the seafood stock came out well and it was light. Also, are the noodles smooth and whole grain? The noodles were filling and very delicious. The grilled pork bowl tasted as expected! Please try ordering this set.
