Osaka, Japan｜Okonomiyaki Sassoku

I loved the okonomyaki experience here. It’s a small place where you seat by the counter and have the chef cook your meal right in front of you. The food was amazing. Didn’t love the fact that there was too much mayo on the okonomyaki, but that’s down to personal preference. Service was great and really welcoming.

Cute little place that serves yummy okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Prices were super reasonable. We came in right as they opened and it wasn't long until it filled up.

Don't get fooled by the somewhat worn down looks. This restaurant is the perfect place to have a first hand experience of good japaneese service and hospitality. Its very specialised, so don't expect much of a selection, but what you get is made with dedication. Of course I made some mistakes concerning Japanese table manners, but the chef made us feel comfortable at all times. Unfortunately many locals also agree with this assessment, so it's sometimes hard to get a seat. But that also speaks for itself.
