This is absolutely the best soba in the Fushimi area. The noodles are thick and chewy, and taste very homemade... because they are! Seating area is small and can fill up fast. It's a small mom and pop joint, so service can be a bit slow, but the customers often say hello to each other as they wait and talk about the food. Staff is experienced with picking sake to pair with your meal. Don't overlook the daily special menu of small side dishes. Highly recommended for an authentic local experience.
