Kyoto, Japan｜Kakutani Rō-ho

I have known Kakutani-san for a very long time. In total, it's been about 40 years since I was a child! When I was a child, I visited Kyoto University Hospital for meals with my mother countless times during my hospital stay. It gives the impression that it is always full of customers. Everything from soba noodles to udon bowls to set meals to lunch set meals is delicious. I decided to order the tempura bowl, but the shrimp tempura was perfectly fried, and the soup went perfectly with the rice. It's packed during lunch, so it might be a good idea to go outside that time.

People who don't know about it (I was one of them) might think it's just another soba restaurant in the middle of town, but it's a historic soba restaurant, and the soba noodles are well-made and delicious. It's a bit pricey, but if you're going to go to a regular store, I definitely recommend this one. It doesn't feel expensive at all, and you'll be satisfied with both the taste and the price!

The shop has become beautiful and the price is a little higher, but there is also a delicious lunch set. It's located across from Kyoto University Hospital, so it's convenient for waiting times.
