More Comments at Google MapOne of the best and most interesting "humble" meals I've had in Japan. Restaurant is super friendly to vegetarians and you'll try things here you don't see elsewhere: think thin layers of mashed potatoes wrapped in nori, dipped in ponzu. Quaint, cozy, delicious. A great place for lunch when you're walking to old Kyoto.
My grandmother and I visited this restaurant because it was a restaurant that I remember often going on dates with when I was young. Although it was during the holidays, there weren't many customers, so I was able to relax. Isn't this a hidden spot for a meal while sightseeing? A warm, flavorful sweet potato. The yam and seaweed rolls are flavored with vinegar and refreshing. It was elegant and really delicious! The portion of the meal in the photo is not very large, so it may not be enough for men.
Excellent! This must be the taste of Kyoto. Anyway, the taste of the dashi soup is wonderful. It was seasoned. As for the potatoes, they are so big that they don't fall apart when boiled, and the flavor permeates to the core. The dessert zenzai had a very gentle taste, and it contained wheat gluten instead of mochi, which I personally liked.
