If you want some mochi with matcha cream, this is a great place to visit. The small garden behind the store gives it a peaceful atmosphere, where you can enjoy your fool while looking at a piece of nature near the temple. The prices are a bit higher, but you also get quite a lot for your money, and they offer a surprising variety of options on their menu, apparently.

We ate onigiri and of course free tea on our way to Ginkakuji temple. They have other lunch sets. Chill and peaceful place with small fish pond inside. They take credit card.

An absolut beautiful place, very close to Ginkakuji. The Onigiris are super and the cucumbers are amazing. You can have everything to go, or eat in. There is also an English menu inside. Only downside is that they close so early.
