A French restaurant facing the lakeshore with Showa esprit. The appetizer is ratatouille (not French), which is refreshingly sweet and delicious. The meat dish is stewed beef cheek with beer sauce, and the elegant sauce is delicious with the soft meat. The fish dish my wife ordered is thick and delicious. The dessert was surprisingly filling and satisfying.

On sunny days, you can enjoy your meal while looking at the blue Lake Biwa from the terrace seats. The repurposed classic hotel building alone is well worth seeing, but it's also nice to take your time and enjoy a meal or a cup of tea inside! The lunch course looks small just by looking at the picture, but it's just the right amount when you've finished eating. The taste was good, and if you can eat inside this building, that's enough. You can enjoy both the food and the building, killing two birds with one stone. If you visit here, I definitely want you to see the details of the building.

Park in the parking lot in front and walk a little. (It's free if you use the restaurant.) When I went to the former Biwako Hotel for the first time in several decades, it seemed deserted with few people, but the restaurant was bright, I could enjoy the view, and I was able to enjoy delicious food in a quiet environment. Ta. As expected. I want to conquer all the lunch courses.
