Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜Daruma Soba

This is a 10-meal limited set for 1,500 yen that includes tempura, zaru soba, and fried soba noodles. The host was also very kind and made me feel comfortable. Juwari soba was very chewy and delicious with either salt or soba soup. The tempura shrimp were very soft and the batter was crispy and very delicious. The soba soup was served at a good time when I had just finished eating. The fried soba noodles were hot and soft, and the homemade miso had the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. The inside was much more spacious and clean than you might imagine from the outside, and I was soothed by the kindness and kind atmosphere of the staff, who were probably family members. This was my first visit, but I'm sure I'll be returning. When I first went there, there were no cars and all the doors and windows looked like they were closed, so at first glance I thought it was closed, but they were open. I've opened another shop that I don't want to tell you about.

Daruma-san's Juwari Soba is very chewy and has a lot of soba flavor, making it a very delicious soba. You can also feel the deliciousness of the soup stock in the aftertaste of the soba soup. I got a set of vegetable tempura and zaru soba, and my wife got a set of vegetable tempura, zaru soba, and fried soba bran, which is limited to 10 sets a day. The batter on the tempura was also crispy. I had the soba with Kimoe sesame miso and salt, and both were delicious!

I ordered Juwari Soba Tempura and Soba Gaki. I love soba so I went to several soba restaurants in Shiga Prefecture, but this one was the best. The atmosphere inside the store was great and calm. I will go again!
