The name is Gas Building Shokudo, but it is a high-end restaurant with a retro Showa era feel. Located in Osaka Gas Head Office Building (Gas Building) This is a long-established restaurant that has been around since the building opened. You can enjoy your meal in a luxurious atmosphere in an elegant and luxurious space. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is almost full during lunch time. The beef curry is especially recommended. Although it is a mildly spicy curry, it contains steak-like meat and is very filling.

I visited by myself around 4pm. I ordered the rumored beef curry. There's plenty of tender fillet meat in there, and the roux is a little rich. For 1,980 yen plus tax, I thought they were using imported meat, but when I asked them, they said it was domestic fillet. I'm surprised, there's no reason not to go eat there again.

I went to lunch before the broadcast of ``Lunch at a Famous Architecture, Osaka Edition''. Enter the Ogas Building from the south exit and take the cafeteria elevator to the 8th floor. By 11:30, the place was already full, so I had to make a reservation at 1:00. After 1 o'clock, there were no other customers, so I was guided to a seat by the window and ordered the lunch-only beef curry and heart lettuce. I sprinkle salt and pepper on a head of lettuce and eat it with my hands, perhaps to refresh my mouth before a meal? The rice was served on the plate as much as I wanted, and the curry was simple, just beef, so it was different from home-made curry, and the curry flavor was outstanding. 4,230 yen including two non-alcoholic beers, coffee and service charge. It was a somewhat luxurious lunch. The recommended daily lunch course is a great deal at 2,750 yen. I didn't give it 5 stars because I felt guilty about staining the tablecloth with curry. I want to go to dinner too.
