More Comments at Google MapThis is the first Soba I had and it was one of the best dishes I had so far in Japan. The noodles and broth were great, I really loved everything to be honest. The shop owner is super friendly too. Highly recommend coming here.
Unexpected find and so good! Soba has yuzu flavour which makes it so refreshing in the summer. Owner is very friendly and helpful. They don’t actually serve soba during dinner (only served during lunch) and nighttime is an izakaya but he served us anyway cause we really wanted soba. So glad we found this before leaving Osaka
Like Alex mentioned below, certainly an unexpected find. Had just finished a visit to the Shitendo-ji temple nearby and popped by this great little place for lunch. Really glad I did. The place looks like it's helmed by a single staff, with seating space on the first and second floors. All patrons get access to a counter of free flow condiments and garnishing, including fried onions, fried garlic, sea weed, uncooked chicken/quail eggs, and tempura bits. There's also free flow tea. The soba itself was quite decent - soft but not mushy, and the dipping sauce was not excessively flavoured as well. Last point to note: the staff (presumably the owner) was also friendly and pointed out nearby tourist sites (Isshin-ji Temple - where the statues are made from the ashes of the dead). Definitely worth a visit.
