Osaka, Japan｜Oretachino-curry Ramen Koji Labo Osaka-namba

Laid back counter-style curry shop with just 10 seats. I ordered prawn curry rice topped with onsen egg. The prawns were nicely fried, crunchy outside and cooked just right. The curry sauce is simple yet rich and complex with the spices. It’s on the sweet side so if you’d not enjoy curry sweet I wouldn’t recommend it here. It was such a hearty and satisfying dish - and I ate this after I had dinner already! It’s the kind of place I would recommend to my friends visiting Osaka!

Complex curry flavours with depth as opposed to simply spiciness. Recommend not too spicy to get a full spectrum of the Curry's flavors. Beef is well seasoned, eggplant is cooked well. Found this place by accident during my last visit and have been dreaming of coming back; 6yrs later and finally able to visit again and did not disappoint. One of the best Japanese curry in the world! Must try when in Osaka.

After our walking tour finished close to this restaurant, we ate here and it was delicious. We ordered a chicken cutlet prawn niso noodles and a pork cutlet curry and both were made to order and delicious. The service from the owner was great and friendly. Would love to eat here again.
