A hidden gems in Osaka. We google chinese food and drove here to give it a try. We didn't expect Japanese can make such a nice Chinese food. The staff is very friendly eventhough they can't communicate in English, but they still try their best. Definitely worth to try this restaurant.

It was delicious when I tried it because I was a big fan of Mabo. It wasn't that hard. The xiao long bao was full of gravy and had a nice smell, but it smelled a little like pork. It's a pity that one was broken and the juice was out when serving.

Located right next to the west exit of Ryokuchi Koen Station. It's a street straight from Shin-Midosuji, so it gives the impression of a wide yet quiet street. Visited on Wednesday around 1pm. It felt like there were just a few empty seats in the store. I was told about the daily lunch special, but since I was already craving mapo tofu, I ordered the earthenware pot mapo tofu. When I looked around the restaurant until my food came out, I saw a row of shochu turtles lined up. I imagine it would be fun at night since the restaurant is set up like an izakaya. Food will appear soon. Salad, pickled vegetables, spring rolls, two pieces of chicken, soup, rice, and simmering mapo tofu. This is visually appealing. Absolutely delicious and definitely spicy. When you take a bite, it's a super-thick mapo tofu that's just as you'd imagine. Delicious but tough. I ate it sweating and huffing and puffing. Eat it as is, or make it into a mapo bowl on the rice. Sometimes I complete the meal while resetting with cold water. It was delicious and filling.
