really nice experience here! Had persimmon ice cream and noodles which were tasty and filling. Really good price especially given the tourist-heavy location. The staff were really friendly for foreigners actually - in fact, when I was coming through on my motorcycle, the person waved me down to show me where the free parking was, and then when I drove by on the way out, went out on the street and waved me off! Kudos to the staff working the lunch shift March 28 :)

Roast chicken set meal is good

If you want to go sightseeing at Horyuji Temple with your own car, make this your destination! We left the car there and had lunch on the way back. It is also used by students on school trips, bus guides, and drivers, so you can feel safe. The restaurant has a good old Showa menu. We had the famous Tatsutaage set meal, persimmon udon, and persimmon leaf sushi.
