More Comments at Google MapThere are many restaurants where you can eat Miwa Somen, but the one near the approach to Omiwa Shrine was crowded, so I decided to go to this one a little further away. It was a weekday lunch time during the summer vacation, but it was reserved. The somen noodles were fine but firm and delicious. The exterior and interior were also nice.
This is the first time I've eaten such thin noodles. The wild yam was delicious. Konnyaku was also different from the commercially available one, and it was the first time I ate konnyaku. The store isn't that big, but I don't think it's too crowded in terms of location.
I ordered the Nyumen set with sekihan, pickles, and black beans. It was carefully cooked and had a light flavor with a hint of broth and was very delicious. Actually, Mr. Morimasa was on holiday so I had no choice but to try this, but I was surprised because the taste was completely different. I remember that Mr. Morimasa's shiitake mushroom soup had a strong flavor and was rather thick (I ate it about 12 years ago, so it may be different now.) Moreover, I ate cold somen noodles at the height of the summer heat. (The chilled tomatoes were extraordinarily delicious...) Even though I ate everything here, the saltiness was just right to my taste. I don't know how many years from now I'll be able to visit again, but I love Miwa Somen! I'll definitely stop by
