Located in Nara JR Station, this is the place to eat before or after your city visit ! Go in the back of the shop, and you will find a small hidden restaurant that serves qualitative, healthy & excellent dishes. Each dish brings a different flavors, but all shows seasonal vegetables (taste like a grandma’s garden : so good !! Go there, pretty sure you will like it :) + budget & foreigners friendly

A great place to start your morning when you arrive at Nara. It's located on the first floor and it might be a little confusing to find since it has a store front, but if you enter and make your way to the back you should find it. The breakfast set is 440 and can really fill you up. The ingredients are simple: eggs, rice, salad with potato salad, and miso soup. Put together though and it's a complete breakfast. They do give you a small bowl for your egg shell as well as a small bowl to mix up your egg if you so choose. Highly recommend for its speed, price, and taste!

Traditional Japanese meals prepared with local vegetables. You get a lot for under $1k yen. Rice, miso soup, veggies, the main dish, and some other items. They definitely do not speak English but they make it work.
