Amagasaki, Hyogo, Japan｜Daisenso Ramen

It was intriguing to try all 4 types of 醤油ラーメン that they have here. One had a light, scallop-flavoured soup ("pistol"), one was tuna-based ("平和"), one had a small quantity of soup (汁なし = "錆びた刀") and one was sardine-based ("自由"). The thing that was common to all 4 types were the thick 太麺 noodles, which were chewy and delicious, surprisingly well matched to all types of soup. You can choose the number of slices of charsiu that you want (from 1 to 5 slices), and add 替え玉 (a half-portion of extra noodles for free). The 替え玉 is not available on the noodles without soup, but they offer the option of a large serving (大盛り), also for free, for this ramen. The staff were patient, courteous and helpful, even keeping an item of clothing that we'd accidentally left behind so that we could pick it up later.

Had my lunch here after visiting Amagasaki castle. Not many ramen places are open between lunch and dinner time, so I’m glad this place was. The ramen was good, especially the meat that lined the bowel. The noodles were somewhat firm. Service was quick. For. Beer and ramen, it was slightly over 1400 yen.

Comfortable for eat in. Tasty. Recommend!
