The recommended bowl of ramen here is the "Shoyu" range. You get a choice of egg, pork, chicken or all toppings for about 1400 yen. The atmosphere can be quite tense as you eat in complete silence (besides the gushing sounds of noodles being slurped). Talking, mobile phones (only take photos of your own meal), video recording is not permitted. Apparently, the chef is highly regarded as one of the ramen masters, as he used to operate a ramen shop back in Tokyo. Overall, PROBABLY THE BEST BOWL OF SHOYU RAMEN you will ever taste in Japan.

Loved it! Loved the ramen, loved the quietness, loved watching the ramen master preparing and cooking the ramen, loved watching the ramen master looking at these two young guys with an annoyed look on his face while they were chatting and laughing hysterically out loud...everything about the ramen was perfect in my opinion! Will definitely go back there next time I’m in tsukaguchi! Love japan!! Woohoo...from an Aussie fella!
