Stumbled on this restaurant searching for some authentic udon at 1am. They immediately seated us when we walked in. Despite being a small restaurant with only a few tables, it was quite busy even though it was early morning. We tried the tempura udon which was easily some of the best shrimp tempura and udon I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly. My friend had the beef udon and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend. They also only have a Japanese menu, but to me that screams authenticity and not catering towards tourists.

I came by myself at 10:30pm on a Thursday to finish up after drinking. Even though it was late, all the tables were occupied and more than half of the seats at the counter were occupied. We welcome both those who want to drink alcohol and those who just want udon. I ordered the meat kasu udon. I didn't drink alcohol because I was drinking a lot. The taste of Kansai soup stock is comforting no matter when you sip it. The crumbs and beef oil ooze out of it and it's really delicious. I ate everything, including the soup stock. Unlike ramen, it's a nice finishing touch after drinking, and it doesn't weigh too heavily on your stomach. It's so wonderful that such a delicious restaurant is open until 5am...
