Kyoto, Japan｜Tsukigase in Takashimaya

Authentic and Japanese traditional dessert shop located in the takashimaya Kyoto store. This shop started in 1926. Tried the anmitsu and mamekan. The jellies almost disintegrate in your mouth and has a slight crunchy sensation. Would love to have even more bowls next time I come!

Great place for a Japanese green tea dessert!

Rich matcha, shiratama (rice flour dumplings), black honey, all of which are the most delicious in Kyoto. Even on Saturdays and Sundays, you can eat slowly without lining up. Due to the recent boom in shaved ice, there are many shaved ice for around 1,500 yen, but this one starts at 1,000 yen. There are few tourists at Takashimaya, so you can relax and cool down.
