Kyoto, Japan｜Daikokuya - Daimaru

We went there in February me and my girlfriend. The food was excellent, had tempura shrimp with soba noodle, and buckwheat tea. We found it so good that we got out of the restaurant, and came back in with a couple of friends to have a second supper. The waiter was excellent/, always watching upon us from the wall like a ninja in case we were ready to order. It was one of the highlight of our vacations. 5/5

I received a large zaru. Not only the noodles but also the rice bowls are great. (Late February 2023) I had an assortment of zaru soba and tempura. The coldness of the zaru soba and the way it is seasoned is the best. The soba soup was also excellent. The tempura seemed to be made with high quality oil and was really delicious. If you like sake with this tempura, you will have a moment of bliss.

It's hard to throw away the bowl, but the soba noodles that feel tight are the most delicious.
