Kyoto, Japan｜KAEru coffee

Best coffee place we visited in Japan in 2weeks. Really nice couple that seem to own it, the guy roasts beans on site where you walk in, really decent coffee! We kept coming back and had their chicken curry too which was amazing, really good value too. When we passed by for a take away coffee on our last day in Kyoto they came out to say goodbye

Brilliant. I walked quite a bit to escape the crush of people at Kyoto station, and what a gem I found!! I love all the froggy decor just like the owners, and this menu is full of homemade goodness. I got the Latte con jelly and homemade scones (you can choose 4 flavours out of a possible 7). From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the heavenly smell from the beans roasting right by the door. I'm not even a coffee person, but I know I'll be coming back here the next time I visit Kyoto!

Super delightful place. They roast their own beans and the result is an exquisite coffee. The interior is also very quaint and relaxing. Very happy we got the chance of visiting it.
