Kyoto, Japan｜La Madrague

I went on a weekday and had the place all to myself. I really love the vibe there! The food is delicious and the clerks are friendly. Since the food portion is quite large, I recommend to go with friends or family :)

Very homey and authentic spot in the neighborhood. Was about 50/50 tourists to locals when we went. We arrived at open and were lucky to get a seat. The egg sandwich is massive - could be shareable.

I enjoyed their food a lot, especially the egg sandwich! Their salad is awesome too with a cheap price. Definitely worth a try if you’re visiting Kyoto. It’s a very popular place and it seems like they have the system for the customers to go in every one hour starting from their opening time. So it’s probably better to go like, let’s say at 11:30 and make a reservation at 12:30 or 13:30 and so on so forth. Advanced reservation through phone is only available for the round at 11:30.
