More Comments at Google MapIt is located along Abeno-suji, just south of Abe Oji Shrine. It opens at noon and it takes a while before the donuts are actually ready, so it seems good to visit with plenty of time. There are basically two types of donuts: plain and sugared. It has a very light sweetness and an indescribably good scent. The Showa retro storefront is fun, and the staff are friendly, so I often visit.
We are operating in an old house almost next to Abe no Seimei Shrine. You can't help but try it with an appearance that attracts your interest just by looking at it. Donuts are delicious as expected. The coffee that you ordered without expecting it will also be carefully hand-dripped. I was impressed by the taste and friendly customer service. The fact that this kind of restaurant is still here reminds me of the strength of Osaka's restaurants.
When I visited around 12:15, I was told that it would be ready around 12:30, so I decided to wait in the store while I got ice cream. The inside of the store is cluttered, but you can relax strangely. There are wall clocks that ring at 15 minutes and 45 minutes, and wall clocks that ring on the hour and half an hour, and each has a different sound, which is nice. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from the ice cream (300 yen), but I was pleasantly surprised. I could tell right away that it was refreshing, yet full-bodied, and additive-free. When I asked the owner of the shop, he told me that there is no one in Kochi who doesn't know about Kubota's ice cream in Kochi Prefecture. One donut is 80 yen. It's rustic and slightly sweet, and it feels like you can eat as many as you want.
