Kyoto, Japan｜Bread, Espresso and Arashiyama Garden “ESPRESSO &”

Delicious cafe is a quiet Kyoto neighbourhood (ENGLISH MENU ATTACHED). We came here right at open and there was already a couple people ahead of us. If you want to sit outdoors, there are only 2 tables so make sure you get here a couple minutes before open. One of the many highlights was the egg salad sandwich paired with some fresh side dishes. This was yet another amazing dining experience that is exclusive to Japan. Highly recommend

Good food and good coffee at a decent price. Good aesthetic. Modern Japanese building based on traditional architecture. Modern style food. The chestnut maple latte was great.

1/ Day 1 Started queuing before 8am. Well worth the effort as the surrounding is serene, and beautiful. The breakfast was superlatively good. Egg sandwich set at ¥1500 was good value. Love the background music. Come early. 2/ Day 2 Started early. As it was a Saturday, the queue build-up was heavier than previous. I tried Red Bean set. Comparing the 2, I would prefer the Red Bean option. To maximise the complexity of the taste, slice a piece of buttered toast, add some butter, cut a piece of Parma Ham or Salami, and add a generous dollop of red bean paste. Voila! This mouthful was simply awesome.
