"Just follow your heart, and keep smiling." - Kiki High quality Japanese Matcha in a whimsical cafe? Yes please! I discovered Maldita Maldito on my way to the world famous Nakatanidou Mochi Shop. I mentally bookmarked it as Nara was hovering 200-degrees lol. I walk in to a very artsy staff who greeted me in Japanese, but know they speak some English too. I pretty much already knew I wanted Iced Matcha Latté (Soy) and have my Mochi with it. Not only Matcha and Coffee, but Wine, Desserts, Chocolates. Maldita Maldito has such a charming Ghibli vibe! Oh Kiki! While waiting for my Matcha Latté I noticed the customers all relaxed and enjoying time here. Most were Japanese with a couple of young Korean ladies who sat near me. If crowded, there's also an upstairs that is available to enjoy. And before I could count to じゅう in Japanese my drink is brought over! Arigatō! Whoa! It looks good and I believe (sorry I forgot to ask) premium Uji Matcha is used. In fact, I'll bet Yen on it because my drink was divine! I know, I know it's 200-degrees in Nara so anything with ice would be decent! This Matcha Latté was amazing tho! And paired perfectly with the Nakatanidou Mochi. Ah such is life! Ja ne... 愛

Amazing beverages and pastries. They have an espresso machine and really know their way around making high-end coffee. Also the pastries were absolutely delicious. Sponge cake and baked cheese cake with incredible presentation. English menu and very helpful staff.
