Absolutely beautiful food. Everything is fresh and exquisite. The setting is also so authentic, the staff are lovely. After living in Japan for two years I have to say this ranks as my top 3 places i have been to.

The tempura is thin and crispy and the shrimp are big. Although it is handmade, it is delivered early. (compared to the number of people waiting) The interior is reminiscent of an old folk house, and if you make a reservation over the phone, you'll be guaranteed a seat by the window with a view of the garden. Even though I arrived at the opening time of 11am, almost 80% of the seats were occupied, and I couldn't get a good seat because I wasn't lucky with the person next to me, so I gave the atmosphere a 4, but I think I'll make a reservation from now on. The first time, I was refused entry even more than an hour before closing time because they were afraid they would run out of soba, so I decided to make a reservation in advance and go to this restaurant.
