Awesome restaurant near the Nishiki Market. For dinner there was a list right outside the front entrance where you write your name and the number of people in your party. The wait time was not bad at all and definitely worth it. If you come earlier in the day it's much easier to just walk right in for a table. There are a ton of choices available on the menu. The 1st time we ate here we ordered the soupless Dan Dan noodles, spicy tiger fried rice and banana shaped pork gyoza. Side dishes were smashed cucumbers cabbage. Drinks were jasmine tea and sesame dumplings for dessert. All the food comes out super quick and is very tasty. Can't recommend the restaurant enough. The prices are also very good and you'll want to order a lot of food.

We had an excellent meal here. We ordered the "banana shaped" gyoza that was overstuffed with delicious pork filling that was juicy and firm. My pet peeve is the filling that falls out when you dip the gyoza after you have taken a bite. If you're ordering an entree, 1 gyoza per person is sufficient. It's big. My wife ordered the "very delicious meat special on Dan Dan soup noodle." It came with a huge chunk of chashu, pork spare rib, chicken drumstick, and what I think was a duck. With the current exchange rate, it came out to about $13. No way we find anything approaching that at home for double that money. My wife doesn't eat spicy so she couldn't finish it, but the entire table ate off that dish. I ordered black sesame Dan Dan noodle. It was the same thing as my wife without the tower of meat. Very delicious. Finally my daughter ordered a simple soy sauce noodle. She said it was good, They had an English menu and the staff spoke enough English. The atmosphere was relaxed and bright. The clientele seems to be a mix of tourists and the locals (maybe local tourists). We chose this place after our first choice had ran out of soup and closed for the day. Maybe they're better but I can't imagine how much better. So between not eating or standing in line for an hour and this place, this place every time.

Really great food. All freshly made and super delicious. We loved the food and we will come back.
