Reservations only! Had a wonderful experience at this eel restaurant. If you’re a tourist the menu is only in Japanese so make sure you use google translate or show them pictures. You can choose from a small, medium, or large eel on rice set. My party all ordered the small and it was already quite a lot of food. One of the best things about the meal was the fried eel bones for appetizer. I recommend this place to any eel lover.

Quaint little place that only seats 9 and prepares your eel on the spot. I was lucky to be able to walk in during lunch, but on some days they are fully booked. Menu is all handwritten in Japanese so be sure to have someone who knows how to read it with you. Eel meat was soft and fluffy yet flavourful, and they give you fried eel bones before your meal as an appetizer.

What can I say? I’ve been to a few dozen Michelin starred restaurants but this is my personal favorite. The consistency in their flavor from several visits is absolutely astounding. My favorite restaurant.
