Kyoto, Japan｜Masuichi Sumi Hachijoguchi

This was one of our favorite places we ate at during our trip to Japan. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, even by Japanese standards. We shared the recommended platter of various cuts of Wagyu beef between three of us. They provide a sweet and a spicy sauce, but we preferred to just use salt. My dad doesn’t love fatty cuts of meat, so he opted for their salty salad, which he enjoyed. We could have done two of the platters for the three of us, but you can always order more throughout the meal. 10/10 would recommend.

We came spontaneously in the evening and were allowed to use a table that was reserved 1h 20min later, thank you very much for that! The food was very tasty and the meat was also very tender. Thank you for the great evening!

This is an excellent yakiniku restaurant. The food is fresh and very tasty. All meats are seasoned well prior to cooking. Prices are reasonable. Definitely try the short ribs and wagyu beef.
