Kameoka, Kyoto, Japan｜Hattori

Visited on 18 May. Went into the shop at noon and there was only one local having his lunch at the counter seat. The shop is managed by the chef and a lady, assuming his wife. Menu is in Japanese which is a challenge but not a problem. This is the cheapest meal I had during my entire trip but I was not short changed on the food quality and freshness. The chef was amazed how I know and found his shop. He also showed me the different sushi he is making. Crowd start coming in and people came to take away their food. I saw the passion in the chef’s eyes when he excitedly goes through his food with me. Even though he is of age but he looks strong and energetic. Will visit again... soon!

Use for lunch. Grilled fish set meal [mackerel] with a large serving of rice. The price is also affordable at 850 yen. Next time I want to eat mackerel sushi.
