An old, homestyle restaurant underneath bus terminal, already a great sign. The owner is a mid aged lady who operate this shop alone! Cook, serve, clean, she does it all. I was able to communicate with her quite a bit, so that sparks more casual conversation like “how come you suddenly crave for local fried rice ?” Even a sober salaryman uncle who sat nearby me also joined a conversation. This last minute casual dinner became very interesting and fun. This shop serve simple dishes like yakisoba, oden, donburi, stir-fry menu but you already know what I want. Something about fried rice in Japan at yoshoku places or ramen shops always taste incredible. Cooking method is simple but no way to duplicate the same taste at home! Best way is to have expert chefs cook for you. Fried rice came piping hot with a side of daikon salad and miso soup. Everything seems incredibly simple yet taste so exquisite! This lady can cook fried rice perfectly, it’s such a strong soul food which you can enjoy any time of the day, even when you are not hungry!
