A gem of a find. Found under a stairwell, this unassuming soda stand is cheap and good. The nice old ladies serve your meal within a minute and piping hot. The portions are reasonable and the taste is good. Great when u wanna have a hearty bowl of comforting noodle soup to warm your soul.

Very casual restaurant. Have to eat as standing, but not uncomfortable. Kind grandma's.

The smell.... this is what entices you to come to this humble soba stall. Even as you walk past around Obori station you cannot miss the smell of the rich soup slowly bubbling away here. The menu is simple, soba or udon, some simple toppings or plain. It’s the rich delicious soup that ties everything together. You don’t get a spoon, you slurp your noodles and drink soup straight from the bowl, how it’s meant to be eaten. Loud and quick. This place is definitely the place to go when you want a hearty bowl of warm noodle soup on a cold winter day/night.
