This place was so good that we came here for lunch twice when we stayed in Sapporo! Still one of the most value for money and fresh seafood bowls around the area! We had the 3300yen and 1980yen 'omakase' donburi respectively. Just go for the 3300yen if you can, the amount of seafood is really worth it!! I had more than 10 pieces of different seafood, including uni and chutoro. There was also an option to top up 330yen for a crab miso soup, which we did. The soup was very sweet and the crab meat was so fresh and easy to peel! We also ordered an ala carte oyster for 440yen, which was huge and fresh! The staff and chef were also friendly and helpful! Though they don't speak english, you can get away just fine, since they have english menu. Pay only by cash. We came around 2pm on our 1st visit and didnt had to wait. For our 2nd visit, we came around 1130am and also didnt had to wait. Both were on weekdays. You have to walk slightly inside from the main road to find this shop! Follow the yellow signboard. We would definitely come back to this place the next time in Sapporo!

our last day in Sapporo, she was craving for seafood again. So I planned brunch at Nijo Market instead. Nearer to Sapporo city - as a matter of fact just opposite Tanukikoji Shopping Street - it's by far the most crowded market compared to the first one due to its location. Opted for Sakanaya no Daikokoro after seeing a long queue and the fact that they still have whole uni rice bowl - other restaurants that we'd gone to had sold out. The friendly waitress brought us through some alley to an outlet also belonging to them where limited seats were available. We finally had our fill on the uni rice that we wanted to eat at Yoichi, with free ikura from the chef. Ikura don and salmon sashimi don made up the rest but upon seeing next table having a delectable seafood bowl, I itchy ordered one... Very full at the end of the meal but definitely very satisfied. The seafood bowl was value for money for the price paid (forgot the price).

Love the fresh seafood don. Thankful for the English menu. Great food at good value. Location isn't very easily located. Somewhat hidden along an inconspicuous alley.
