Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Ishiyama Douri Coffee

Came in for brunch, as a person in my party wanted some drip coffee. Found this place just a short ten minute walk from our Airbnb (though it took a bit longer due to dragging our luggage through the snow). The café is located up two short flight of stairs and is very cozy, but seems very Americanized, but that's probably what they're going for. Jazz music playing gives it a nice relaxing atmosphere. Despite not having a few of the items (such as the french toast and some of the cakes), everything we got was fresh and delicious. We ordered chocolate coffee latte, cheese toast, royal ice milk tea (iced), chocolate cake, mild coffee and pizza toast, all made fresh to order. The server was very accommodating and didn't complain when we ordered extra items. Despite the steep price for drip coffee, do stop by to relax and enjoy.

First of all. I'm not a smoker. On top of that, when I looked at the reviews about this smoking-friendly cafe, I was a little surprised to see so many comments about smoking being allowed. The interior of the store is chic, the background music is calming (jazz was playing the other day), and it's very comfortable. The staff was polite and the coffee was delicious. I'm not a person who knows the taste of coffee, but... There is no doubt that people who dislike the smell and smoke of cigarettes should avoid it, but the fact that they allow smoking is the result of careful consideration on the part of the store, and that information is also made publicly available. I thought it might be a good idea to separate my aversion to cigarettes from my evaluation of the store. For those who don't mind that or are smokers, this cafe, which is open until late at night, is a wonderful space. Thank you for your time. Thanks for the meal.

A wonderful coffee shop that is open until 2am (or until 3am depending on the day of the week). ⚠Smoking is allowed🚬, so if you are concerned about it, you should avoid it. ⚠Sweets are It's Tokyo style and is served in combination with a drink. ☕If you like coffee, I'm impressed by the menu ❤ (Bitterness, sourness, and richness are clearly described.) My family loves sour coffee, I was happy that Tanzania was the best to drink late at night. The sweets are Mainly roll cakes (prices around 450-650 yen), I love mocha butter rolls ❤❤ I ordered petit fours (canelé + biscotti + financier) + masala chai for 300 yen. Next time, let's order the 🍪 cookie set.
