Toufen City, Miaoli County｜貝克里麵包專門店

The only bakery as far as I'm aware in the Zhunan/Toufen area that sells four different kinds of vegan bread at the time of writing this review. Other bakeries tend to only have one vegan option - French style baguette bread (法國麵包). I've been visiting this bakery on and off for over a year now. As they have a limited selection of vegan breads, they sell out very quickly. I hope they will bake more in the future and reduce the quantity of other breads that do not sell as well. The price is quite reasonable and comparable to the pricing of vegan breads found in Taipei. The breads are quite tasty to have as a snack or to eat with a hot beverage. Normally the baked goods are on display around lunch time so that's the best time to go and buy them, especially if you're a vegan. If you go later on, they are usually sold out of the vegan bread. There is the odd day that you'll pass by late in the evening and they've closed early as they've sold all their bakery goods, so that in my eyes means it's a bakery worth visiting. I've taken photos of the vegan breads. They are marked 素 whereas other breads are marked 蛋素，奶素，蛋奶素 or 葷. I think the next step in their journey is not to pre-wrap bread in plastic (where possible) and leave it open in a shelf covered with plastic or inside shelves with transparent doors. That way, people can bring their own containers/bread bags and be eco-friendly.

It has a great atmosphere and I often study here. There are various buns, breads, cakes and coffee for you to choose from. It is also an excellent place to get together with friends. I think the most important thing is that the waiters here have generous attitude. I extremely suggest you guys to get there and check it out!
