I was looking for a lunch place near my hotel and happened upon the listing for this restaurant on Google Map, so I decided to give it a try. It's located along a narrow, lively back alley along with a few other small restaurants hidden off the main streets near Taipei Main Station. The environment is basic but very clean and comfortable, and like many others have mentioned before, the boss and staff are super welcoming and positive. They give this place a really hospitable and homey atmosphere, you can tell they put a lot of care into cooking and running this establishment. I had the chicken rice with a side of marinated egg and bamboo shoots. The food was great and really demonstrate what I love about food in Taiwan. They take simple, everyday ingredients and make them into something so tasty and comforting. I'll definitely come back again!

Excellent pork noodle soup, friendly staff. Cheap. Visit!
