A safe haven for dumpling soup and beef noodles. The neighborhood is a tourist & shopping hotspot. This restaurant is in a great location across from the little park. Avoid the “standard” tourist stops in the street and pop in for the dumplings. Order at the front window and eat inside. There are 2 tables on the main floor and more upstairs. The beef noodle soup broth is rich with a bit of oil to add complexity. I added pepper sauce to really draw out the flavors. The staff had a translated menu (or work with Google translate). We had 2 dishes for $270. The three of us did not finish it all. Very good value.

I love this place. Excellent beef noodle soup (牛肉麵）and small plates (小菜), my favourite pickled cabbage. The dumplings (較子) are top notch too. Not a swanky place but excellent food and service. Limited seating on the first floor and second floor has more seating. Get there early if it's lunch time. Very good value for what you pay. And a comfortable walk from Dongmen MRT station.
