I was sweeping tombs nearby during the Qingming Festival and found this restaurant nearby for lunch. Of course I eat bamboo shoots in Zhushan. However, the bamboo shoot dishes I have eaten in Zhushan in the past few years no longer taste like grandma. The bamboo shoot soup does not use stock, just add water. It is good. This random restaurant just filled my stomach without high expectations. Little did we know that the chef cooking in the open kitchen is a mother. Several of the dishes we ordered have the same taste as those cooked by my grandma when I lived with my grandpa and grandma in Xitou Mountain when I was a child. I am very grateful. Stir-fried Bamboo Shoots with Green Onions: Bamboo shoots are added to the gravy as a seasoning. It goes very well with rice and is very tasty. Stir-fried wild boar with garlic sprouts: In order to prevent the wild boar from tasting too greasy, white vinegar and black pepper are added to increase the aroma. The flavors are well blended. Baked eggs: It’s a common home-cooked dish, so I won’t explain it. Bamboo shoots and chicken soup: This soup can only be cooked by the bamboo forest people on the Lugu Xitou side of Zhushan, because the thick bamboo shoots used to make this soup are washed and sliced, then sprinkled with dried black beans and salt sauce and marinated for a few times. When it’s time to cook it after the month, cut it into thin slices and cook pheasant or fish fillets to make soup. The soup will have a rich bamboo shoot flavor and a sweet and sweet aroma. Because this kind of sauced bamboo shoots is only used by people here in Zhushan, and it is only done by the older generation. I can’t see such a method of sauced bamboo shoots in other places. It’s very rare, and I can recall that my grandma used to make the sauce by herself. The taste of bamboo shoots The aroma and seasoning of each dish are well balanced. I believe that the chef of this restaurant really knows how to cook.

This restaurant is a must-try every time I go to Zhushan. The service is good and the taste is suitable for all ages. If you want to eat freshly killed local chicken, you can make a reservation and it will be more delicious. We also bought the purest chicken crystals to take home.
