Central District, Taichung City｜Qin Yuan Chun Main Store

Perhaps the most recognised Shanghainese (江浙菜) restaurant in Taichung, as this restaurant was reportedly a "must visit" for Chiang Kai Shek and his son whenever they visit Taichung. From my experience dining at this restaurant today, this is really an exceptionally good restaurant serving very authentic and delicious Shanghainese cuisine, in a authentic setting. Very good and attentive service as well. No corkage for Bring-your-own (BYO) alcohol. Will certainly visit again when I next visit Taichung =) (The name of this restaurant is pronounced as Qin4 Yuan2 Chun1)

Thanks to Google and community, we found this restaurant when searching for lunch. We selected this one because of more than 2000 reviews and turned out it is a great choice. It's 3 consecutive years of Michellin star in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Foods are great at a reasonable prices.

Ancient restaurant that once welcomed even Chiang Kai-shek himself. Food was great, nicely prepared, too bad that some items like 銀絲捲 were sold out.
