This taiwanese restaurant is on the second floor of the Miyahara pastry shop a couple of blocks from the Taichung Train station. The food is great and the ambience is phenomenal. The shop/restaurant is housed in an old colonial building that has been restored and renovated. Gorgeous space. Everything we ordered was delicious. I have been here several times and never had a bad meal there. Be sure to get the ice cream sundae for dessert too. It's amazing.

Moon Pavilion, housed within the Mihayara, is a wonderful place to enjoy the Taiwanese cuisine with a no holds bar level of service and food quality. The service level and attentiveness given to us is top notched, with superb recommendations to suit and match to our gastronomic needs. The food quality is well balanced in taste, scent and favour. An almost perfect marriage for all your senses. The appetiser platter is a must try and you get to choose from 3 or 5 or 7 option sets. We also tried the 三杯鸡 and the 乌鱼子炒饭 and a notable mention of ice cream serving of 4 flavors with 5 toppings. 😋 Overall, it performed and lived to it's name of a Bib Gourmand restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes when I'm in TaiChung.

Recommend the white pomfret rice noodles, Shaoxing braised pork, pickled vegetables, fried rice with mullet roe, and bamboo shoot sticks. The low price of 380 is very good value. I think the decoration, service and taste are of international standards. Many foreigners come and they take crazy photos. , The expression of joy in choosing ingredients is very proud. In fact, the dishes are very ordinary to us, but the careful use of Taiwanese ingredients to make them exquisite will definitely leave a deep and beautiful impression on tourists from all over the world. The portion is larger than expected, although it is not really big. , but after spending all the low-end consumption, I felt extremely full. I came here for dinner before and the Green River has not yet been renovated. Now the scenery outside the window is more beautiful and romantic. It is only the beginning of November and the Christmas atmosphere is super thick and lively. There is no need to crowd with people on the second floor. We are here to celebrate our birthday today and we will enter at 10:00. Drink tea, cut cakes, and slowly select the dishes. The dishes will be served as soon as 11:00 arrives. Eat leisurely and comfortably until 1 o'clock.
