A very authentic and traditional Shanghainese restaurant serving traditional and delicious Shanghainese cuisine. A friend recommended this restaurant when I asked for a good Shanghainese restaurant in Taichung. Definitely satisfied I got, as soon as I stepped into the restaurant to notice its clientele of mostly 外省人/descendants of 外省人. I.e. meaning that this restaurant is definitely authentic! It was well proven with the dishes I ordered/tasted - absolutely authentic and delicious!!! I will certainly visit again if I even come to Taichung again! =)

The delicious taste of a traditional old restaurant. I recommend the taro duck. The duck meat is soft and tender, and the soup is rich and delicious. The dishes are all authentic and you can taste the skill of the master chef. It is not as fancy as some new restaurants.
