Beitun District, Taichung City｜酒攤（中式料理台灣佳餚）

Great for large groups of people. The boss would recommend dishes, but since it is menu-less, you would not know the exact pricing. But roughly expect 200-400 NTD per dish? Highly recommend the turnip/raddish cake, which does not contain any meat, but it is so delicious on its own that it is my first time eating turnip cake without dipping it into the sweet paste!

One of the best places to eat in The Taichung area. Located near the 228 Memorial Park in Beitun, parking is plentiful around the entire neighborhood (which is also incidentally close to the supposed biggest Starbucks in Taichung as well). It's good 'ol Taiwanese home cooking. There is no menu. You eat what they suggest; fresh vegetables, a choice of meat (their white steamed chicken is amazing), some small dishes (they have the best pan-fried radish cakes in Taiwan), and a soup. They won't let you order too much, if you do they make you take it home. BYOB. Expect big, sometimes boisterous groups of locals enjoying great feasts. Indoor/outdoor seating. Great place for families.
