Songshan District, Taipei City｜Yu Pin Yuan Iced and Hot Tangyuan - Raohe Branch

I love eating glutinous rice balls. But it’s always hot in my hometown. This is my first time eating this on top of a smoothie. I can only say genius! ! ! The smoothie is sweet after being topped with osmanthus syrup, and it goes really well with glutinous rice balls. But the osmanthus syrup has almost no osmanthus flavor. I feel like it could be replaced with any sweet syrup? ? ?

Perfect way to end your evening at the night market. We got a few variety to try and liked the one with the fermented rice the best, it gave a nice tartness to balance out the mild sweetness. The dish wasn’t too sweet on its own, you have osmanthus syrup and condensed milk on the side. We also preferred the black sesame rice balls as it’s more flavourful and less sweet.

The tangyuan is super delicious, you have to try the 綜合 one which include both black sesame and peanut! The price is not cheap but still worth trying since they have comfortable place and air condition! There is osmanthus soup on the table to add on the ice for more flavor (highly recommended! ).
